- The Critical Elements page opens. Depending upon agency’s policy, add weight percentages to each critical element.
- Critical Element 1 must be weighted from 25% to 40%
- Critical Elements 2 - 5 must be weighted from 15% to 30%
- The total weight must add to 100%.
Click Next.
Next, Critical Element 1 will appear with the performance standards. It’s optional to a requirement. Click Add Requirement.
The Add Agency Specific Requirement text box opens. Add the requirement text using the rich text editor. Click Save Requirement, Save Requirement and Close, or Close Without Saving.
The requirement is now added. If the objective needs updated, click Edit Requirement to reopen the text box. If the requirement needs removed, click Delete Requirement. Note: Additional performance requirements can be added to each Critical Element.
Next, if your agency’s policy allows the use of weighted requirements, assign a weight to each requirement as specified by the plan. Total weight must be 100%. Click Next.
- Proceed to Critical Element 2 to update requirements and, if applicable, assign weights. Click Next.
Proceed to Critical Element 3 and select the competencies that support performance and contribute to work assignments or responsibilities. Check all that apply. At least one competency is required. Click Next at the bottom of the screen.
Next, if your agency’s policy allows the use of weighted competencies, assign an optional weight to each competency as specified by the plan. Total weight must be 100%. Click Next.
- Proceed to Critical Element 4 to update the competencies and, if applicable, assign weights. Click Next.
Next, Critical Element 5 will appear. You must add a minimum of three performance objectives. Click Add Objective.
The Add Position Specific Objective text box opens. Add the objective text using the rich text editor. Click Save Objective, Save Objective and Close, or Close Without Saving.
Next, from under the Action column, add at least one goal alignment. Click Edit Goal Alignment.
- From the drop-down menu, select a goal alignment.
Click +Add Goal Alignment.
- The Agency/Program Goal Alignment is added. If you need to edit, click Edit Goal Assignment to reopen the modal to update.
- If the objective needs removed, click Delete Objective. Click Yes, Delete Objective to confirm action.
Click Next to proceed to the next page.
Next, if your agency’s policy allows the use of weighted objectives, assign an optional weight to each objective as specified by the plan. Total weight must be 100%. Click Next.
The Review and Sign page opens. Finally, review the summarized plan.
- The plan is now created and ready for signatures.
Note: If you need to update the Agency Use (optional), navigate to the bottom of the screen, and click Next. Add text to the Agency Use section. Click Save.
