Once Pay Pool is enabled and your PRB Groups are configured, you need to place employees into the correct Pay Pool and optionally link associated plans. This article covers both tasks.
- Assigning employees determines which Pay Pool panel reviews each employee's plan
- Linking plans gives panelists additional context by making a second associated plan accessible during review
Pay Pool assignments are independent from PRB assignments and display separately in the system.
Assigning Employees to a Pay Pool
Employees can be assigned individually or in bulk. Use the method that best fits the number of employees you need to assign.
Option A: Individually Assign an Employee
Use this method when assigning a single employee or making a correction to an existing assignment.
-
Navigate to Admin > Manage Users and select the user.
- Select User > Select ‘Performance Plans’ tab.
- Navigate to ‘Plan Information’ > Select the Pay Pool to be assigned from the dropdown.
- Select Save.
Expected result: The employee's plan information reflects the selected Pay Pool assignment.
Option B: Mass Assign Employees
Use this method when assigning multiple employees at once.
- Navigate to Admin > Assign Pay Pools.
- From the Pay Pools dropdown, select the Pay Pool you want to assign employees to.
- Assign selected Users to the correct Pay Pool.
- Use ‘Pay Pool’ column filter to confirm all Users appear.
- Select the employees to assign using the checkboxes, or use Select All to select all listed employees.
Linking Two Associated Plans
Linking plans is optional but recommended when an employee has two active associated plans (for example, a primary and a secondary plan). When plans are linked, panelists can view both plans side-by-side from within the Pay Pool workspace, giving additional context during review.
Each plan can only be linked to one other plan. Linking is managed at the individual user level.
How To: Link Two Plans
- Navigate to Admin > Manage Users and open the user's profile.
- Select User’s profile > Select ‘Performance Plans’ tab > Scroll down to Performance Plans table.
- In the Link column, select the checkboxes for the two plans you want to link.
-
Select Link Plans.
- Confirm > Verify plans are linked.
Note: Linked plans are visible to Pay Pool Panelists and the Pay Pool Chair from within the Pay Pool workspace. The Admin user must also have the PRB role assigned to verify linked plans from the review screen.
