There may be an exception when an agency user will be prompted to use a security key card instead of a PIV card when using Login.gov and will need to bypass the PIV option.
From the USA Performance login page, click Sign in with Login.gov.
The Login.gov page will appear. Enter the email address and password associated with your Login.gov account. Click Sign in.
The Choose a passkey for secure.login.gov screen will open. Select Windows Hello or external security key.
The OPM Enhance your account security with a government employee ID window may appear. Click Skip to advance to the next screen.
