As the Approving Official, you take final action on the performance rating — approving and documenting the outcome with a complete Pay Pool and PRB rating suggestion history available through PowerBI reporting (accessible through Admin users).
Important Notes
- The summary overview shows ratings from the Rating Official, Reviewing Official, HLR (if applicable), and SPRB (PRB Chair).
- Critical Elements default to the PRB Chair's recommended ratings in the "Final (if changed)" column.
- There is no reporting functionality directly available in this role. The Administrator will run the full rating history report on your behalf. Full Pay Pool and PRB history is accessible through Admin users via PowerBI.
How to Review and Approve the Final Rating
- Navigate to your Dashboard and select a "Sign Plans as Appointing Authority/Approving Official" task.
- Verify that summary ratings are visible, then select a user.
- Verify that Critical Elements default to the PRB Chair's recommended rating in the "Final (if changed)" column.
- Make any final adjustments to ratings if needed.
- Confirm rating changes (if any), then select Sign to approve the final rating of record.
