After you submit a plan for calibration, the panel takes over. There is nothing you need to do during this period — but there are important things to know about what you can and cannot access while the review is in progress.
What You Can and Cannot Do
✓ You can
- View the plan (read-only) through Performance Plans or View My Employees' Active Plans — if you are the primary Rating Official.
- Follow up with the panel or administrator if you have questions about the review timeline.
✗ You cannot
- Edit ratings or narratives — locked from the moment of submission.
- Sign the plan — not available until after the panel releases it.
- See Calibration Notes — even if you are also a panel Member or Chair.
- Recall the submission — there is no recall mechanism.
Secondary Rating Official access
If you are a secondary-only Rating Official, you may need another authorized
plan link to view the plan while it is under review. The primary Rating
Official can access it through Performance Plans or View My Employees'
Active Plans.
Your plan's phase stays as Rating during review
While the panel is working, the plan phase shown on the plan itself
remains Rating. The panel's progress is tracked separately on the
Calibration Panel Dashboard and is not reflected in the plan phase.
If a Note Access Question Comes Up
You cannot see Calibration Notes on this plan until after it is released — even if you belong to the panel. This is a deliberate restriction that applies to all Rating Officials regardless of their additional roles. After release, your notes access opens through your Rating Official relationship with the plan.
